Broadstairs Folk Week is a non-profit making organisation and a registered charity that depends on a combination of ticket income, public grants, commercial sponsorship and individual donations from the Friends of Folk Week and other fund-raising such as collections on the street to exist and to stay in the town and not become a green-field site festival outside of Broadstairs.

 

As with many other organisations these days public funding and grants are more and more difficult to obtain.  In order for the festival to have many more successful years the committee and other volunteers are running a number of fundraising activities.  You can find information on this website about ways to become financially involved.
